What is SMART Recovery?

SMART Recovery (Self-Management and Recovery Training) is a science-based program designed to empower individuals as they navigate their recovery from addictive behaviors. This group provides a supportive, non-judgmental environment where participants can develop practical skills to make lasting changes in their lives.

Who Should Attend?

These groups are open to individuals working through any type of addiction, including substance use, gambling, internet use, or other compulsive behaviors. Whether you’re new to recovery or looking for additional tools to strengthen your progress, SMART Recovery offers a flexible approach that fits your unique needs.

Men’s & Women’s Recovery Groups are safe, supportive spaces dedicated to individuals on their journey to overcoming addiction. Meeting twice per week for two-hour sessions, these gender-specific groups provide a structured environment to explore recovery challenges, build coping skills, and foster accountability. With a focus on empowerment, personal growth, and connection, participants receive guidance and support tailored to their unique experiences. Each session blends psychoeducation, peer support, and evidence-based strategies to promote healing and long-term recovery.

Queer Compass is a supportive, affirming space for LGBTQIA+ individuals on their journey to recovery from addiction. This psychoeducational and support group fosters community and connection while providing tools to navigate challenges unique to the queer experience. Through open dialogue, education, and empowerment, participants explore healing in a safe, judgment-free environment. Together, we celebrate progress, resilience, and the path toward authentic, sober living.

Holding Space: Friends & Family United is a supportive group for loved ones of individuals in active addiction or recovery. This psychoeducational and healing space offers guidance, tools, and community connection to help navigate the complexities of addiction. Through shared experiences and compassionate discussion, participants gain insights, build resilience, and learn strategies to care for both themselves and their loved ones. Together, we foster hope, understanding, and strength.

Meeting Details

Location: Gahanna Office

Women’s Morning Group: Every Monday and Wednesday from 10 am to noon.

Women’s Evening Group: Every Monday and Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm.

Men’s Morning Group: Every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am to noon.

Men’s Evening Group: Every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Queer Compass: Navigating Recovery Together:   Every Friday from 4 pm to 6 pm.

Holding Space: Friends & Family United: Every Saturday from noon to 2 pm.
