Nan MacLean is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She provides integrative, insight-driven psychiatric care for adults seeking depth, transformation, and meaning in their healing journey. Her work is dedicated to those ready to move beyond symptom management and explore the root causes of psychological suffering – toward reclaiming authorship of their inner life. 

Nan holds three master’s degrees – in biology, nursing, and psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner – which anchor her clinical practice in scientific rigor while supporting a deeply relational, developmental approach to healing. As a bilingual practitioner fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, and as an immigrant who has lived between two cultures, she brings nuanced understanding to the psychological impacts of migration, identity negotiation, and acculturation stress. Her framework blends conventional psychiatric evaluation and medication management with principles from trauma-informed care, functional medicine, Chinese medicine philosophy, and energy psychology. She is currently completing a yearlong fellowship in functional psychiatry with Dr. James Greenblatt, MD, a recognized leader in integrative psychiatry. 

She works best with intellectually curious, growth-oriented adults navigating identity shifts, complex trauma recovery, or spiritual emergence. Nan views healing not as a linear or procedural task, but as a relational and soulful unfolding – one that arises through presence, discernment, and attunement more than protocols or checklists. Her role is not to rescue or pathologize, but to reflect, challenge, and guide with integrity.
