Bio

Introducing Loreta De Zuniga-Bandiera, MSW, LSW, OIFP II (she/her), a dedicated licensed Social Worker committed to supporting individuals and families on their journey towards healing and well-being. Loreta’s academic and professional background reflects her passion for empowering children, teens, and families to navigate complex trauma and mental health challenges.

Loreta holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Pacific Oaks University and a Master’s in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University. Her journey began in the field of education, where she worked closely with parents to advocate for their children’s mental health in school settings.

Specializing in addressing complex trauma, Loreta is certified as a Child and Family Practitioner in the state of Ohio. She brings a wealth of experience in working with children as young as 3 years old who have experienced trauma, emphasizing the importance of early intervention and open conversations about mental health. Additionally, Loreta supports teens grappling with depression, self-harm, eating disorders, and gender identity exploration, offering a safe and affirming space for their journey.

Loreta’s therapeutic approach is characterized by a play-based, client-centered methodology tailored to each individual or family. Taking a non-conventional and laid-back approach to therapy, she incorporates art and yoga into her sessions to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD, fostering holistic healing and well-being.

Proficient in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Loreta offers this therapeutic approach via telehealth, providing effective trauma treatment for children, teens, and adults.

Loreta is currently accepting new child and teen clients, and she welcomes individuals seeking therapy in Spanish. Under the supervision of Shelby Cook, LISW-S, Loreta is committed to providing compassionate and effective psychotherapy services to support individuals and families in their journey toward healing and growth.
