Bio
Brooklyn Affolter, MSW, LSW, is a compassionate and creative therapist specializing in working with children and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and other neurodivergent-related challenges. She earned her Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University and her Bachelor’s degrees in Allied Health and Psychology from Otterbein University.
Brooklyn brings extensive experience in trauma-informed care, having worked in schools, community mental health settings, and with interdisciplinary teams to support youth and families. She is skilled in completing mental health assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with parents, teachers, and providers to create supportive environments for growth.
Her therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. Brooklyn utilizes evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness strategies, strengths-based techniques, and play therapy to help clients build coping skills and improve emotional regulation.
Brooklyn is passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where children and teens can better understand themselves, process their experiences, and build confidence across home, school, and social settings. Her goal is to empower clients and their families to overcome challenges and achieve meaningful, lasting change.
