Licensed School Psychologist

Ayden Howell is a Licensed School Psychologist providing comprehensive psychological assessment services at Cook Counseling and Consulting Inc.’s Buckeye Lake location. He specializes in evaluating children and adolescents to better understand their cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional needs, helping families and providers create effective, individualized support plans.

Ayden earned his Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in School Psychology and Master’s degree in Intervention Services from Youngstown State University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Magna Cum Laude) from Otterbein University . He has extensive experience working with students across K–12 settings, conducting comprehensive evaluations and supporting school-based interventions.

Throughout his career, Ayden has served as a school psychologist in multiple Ohio districts, including Cambridge City Schools, Newark City Schools, and Mount Vernon City Schools. In these roles, he has conducted in-depth psychological assessments, developed functional behavioral assessments, and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to support student success. His training includes a 1,400-hour internship providing a full range of psychological services, including evaluation, intervention planning, and systems-level support.

Ayden is passionate about helping children, teens, and families gain clarity and direction through high-quality assessments. His approach is thorough, collaborative, and strengths-based, ensuring that each evaluation provides meaningful insights and practical recommendations.
