Renee’s academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Social and Behavioral Studies. She proudly graduated from Simmons College of Social Work in Boston, Massachusetts, the first social work school in the United States. During her graduate studies, Renee immersed herself in learning how to create a therapeutic space characterized by empathy, understanding, and unconditional positive regard—qualities that define her counseling style.

Throughout her career, Renee has worked with diverse populations, including veterans, adults, children, families, and groups.
