Chasya Klafter is a compassionate and dedicated therapist with dual master’s degrees in Social Work and Public Health from The Ohio State University. With a focus on holistic well-being, Chasya specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and PTSD.

In her practice, Chasya collaborates with clients to address various challenges, including difficulties in relationships (with family, friends, and/or romantic partners), struggles with low self-esteem, emotional regulation, self-criticism, school or career concerns, and navigating life transitions.

Approaching each client with curiosity and empathy, Chasya believes that mental health treatment should be a transformative journey toward alleviating suffering and fostering greater emotional insight and freedom. Her therapeutic approach is integrative and draws from a diverse array of modalities, including:

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy: Chasya explores the underlying patterns and dynamics contributing to her client’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, providing a deeper understanding of their experiences.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Chasya helps clients develop mindfulness skills and cultivate acceptance of their thoughts and emotions, empowering them to take committed action towards their values and goals.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT): Chasya teaches clients practical skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness, promoting resilience and adaptive coping strategies.

Mindfulness Therapy: Chasya incorporates mindfulness-based interventions to help clients cultivate present-moment awareness, reduce stress, and develop a greater sense of inner peace and balance.

Motivational Interviewing: Chasya collaborates with clients to explore and resolve ambivalence towards change, empowering them to tap into their intrinsic motivation and make meaningful shifts in their lives.

Play Therapy: Chasya utilizes creative and expressive techniques to engage children in therapy, fostering healing, self-expression, and emotional growth in a safe and supportive environment.

With a warm and nonjudgmental presence, Chasya creates a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. She is committed to walking alongside her clients as they embark on their journey towards healing, growth, and self-discovery.
