Alyssa Rose, Clinical Mental Health Counseling Graduate Student | Specializing in Child & Adolescent Mental Health

Alyssa Rose is a clinical mental health counseling graduate student at PennWest California, specializing in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. With a strong foundation in behavioral health, developmentally appropriate interventions, and trauma-informed care, Alyssa is committed to helping young people build emotional resilience and thrive.

Alyssa’s clinical approach is shaped by her experience as a Behavioral Camp Counselor, where she gained hands-on expertise in behavior management, positive reinforcement, and designing structured therapeutic activities tailored to individual needs. She has a proven ability to connect with youth through age-appropriate lesson planning and compassionate, strengths-based support.

In addition to her academic training and clinical experience, Alyssa brings a unique combination of interpersonal skills, customer service background, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, equipping her with a deep understanding of the social, cultural, and systemic factors that impact mental health.

Alyssa continues to balance the demands of graduate education and collegiate athletics, reflecting her dedication, time management, and goal-oriented mindset. As she works toward licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Alyssa is passionate about promoting emotional wellness, self-regulation, and empowerment in the clients she serves.
